Hello friends and happy second Tuesday of February! Today marks a scary event...we only have 41 days until CATS testing...ahhh!!! That doesn't seem like much time to squeeze in ALLLL the learning we must get done prior to starting that oh so very important test!Reading:
We completed our "Redwoods" ORQ that we began on Friday and learned about the role of being a Literary Luminary in literature circles.
HOMEWORK: work on spelling packet. Be sure to bring it with you tomorrow as well as your Sarah Noble book if you have yet to turn it back in to me!
Math:
We did not switch for math today because both classes needed to take the winter round of their MST math placement exams. These MSTs allow us to gauge the students' knowledge and retention of skills taught this year.
PM activities:
we completed working on our valentine mailboxes and reviewed our morning work of D.O.L.s, Daily Math, and Daily Geography.

Our valentine's party is THIS Friday (2.11.11) at 1:30PM! DO NOT FORGET your valentines for your friends! Also, parents, we are still in need of many savory treats (veggies and dip, chips and dip, homemade items, etc.), AND we would LOVE for you to come and volunteer!
